LINDSEY DESROCHERS - CLASS OF 2002
Some of my favorite memories were playing on the tennis team at Sycamore HS. We always had outstanding coaches who were not only coaches but mentors to us. Although we were not all in the same circle of friends we connected and bonded in such a special way. It made our seasons successful because of that bond. I learned so much about life being a student-athlete and I'm so proud to pass the torch on to my own players at Rancho Bernardo High School here in San Diego, CA.
Although, I'm not coaching as a Lady Ave, I have carried the same types of traditions and characteristics of the program into RBHS and in our Broncos. We are going for our 3rd CIF Championship this year with the boys in Southern California and the girl's are not far behind! I'm so proud and know I learned how to be a great coach from those I had at Sycamore. I am starting to have past players come back and visit the courts and could not be more proud of what they have become and take pride in knowing I had an impact.

I work as a Senior Project Coordinator at the national Initiative for Children's Healthcare Quality (NICHQ), a quality improvement non-profit that focuses on pediatric healthcare in the United States. I'm also taking pre-veterinary classes part-time at Harvard University's Extension School. I live very happily with my boyfriend of three years and our two adopted kitties.
